Everything you need to know before your dog's appointment.
Yes. We require current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines for all dogs. Vaccines must be administered at least 24 hours before the appointment. Please bring a copy of your records to your first visit — we'll keep them on file after that.
A typical groom takes 3 to 4 hours from drop-off. Dogs with behavior issues, very thick coats, or matting may take longer. We'll let you know if your dog's appointment will run over time.
For your dog's safety, clients do not assist in the grooming process unless specifically asked. Dogs respond much better when working one-on-one with the groomer — having their owner present can make them more anxious or excited, which increases the risk of accidents. If you arrive early for pickup, please do not call out to your dog or let them see you until the groom is fully complete.
We accept Stripe online payments (credit/debit card) when booking through our website. We also accept cash and mobile payments at drop-off — Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and Apple Pay. We do not accept checks. Add-ons and cash services are settled at drop-off.
Absolutely! We love working with first-timers. We take extra time and patience with dogs who are new to grooming. Please let us know when you book so we can plan for it.
You must inform us if your dog has ever bitten a person or another animal. We take safety seriously for both the dog and the groomer. If necessary, we may use muzzles or other safety tools humanely. We reserve the right to stop a grooming session at any time if it is not safe to continue — a service fee may be charged based on the amount of work completed.
We will assess the matting when you arrive. Light mats may be worked out for an additional de-matting fee ($15/hr). Severe matting may require a full shave-down — this is actually the kindest option as it allows your dog's skin to breathe and healthy fur to grow back. We will always discuss this with you before proceeding.
Yes! We groom dogs from 4 lbs all the way up to 100+ lbs. Pricing is based on weight. We've groomed everything from tiny Chihuahuas to large lab mixes. No breed is too big or too small.
Please let us know in advance so we can choose the right products. We offer medicated baths, hypoallergenic baths, and hydrating baths as add-ons. Some products not labeled for animals may be used for grooming — only with your permission.
We take extra care and patience with older pets. However, grooming on elderly or frail pets is conducted at the owner's risk. Please inform us of any health conditions so we can modify our approach. If a procedure causes too much stress, we will stop and discuss options with you.
If fleas are discovered during grooming, we will administer a flea bath to protect our salon and other pets. You will be informed right away and the cost will be added to your bill. This is at the groomer's discretion to maintain a clean and safe environment.
No problem! Head to our Book & Contact page and send us a message. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
